Work: HTML & CSS
You can create a beautiful site design but if you can't convert it into a working website, what's it worth? I can do both for you. I'll convert the design I made to beautiful HTML and CSS templates. If the project has complex interactions, I'll sprinkle in a bit of Javascript (using the excellent jQuery library) to show off the expected behavior.
I have solid 5 years of experience using HTML and CSS under my belt. Positioning, the new HTML5 elements, progressive enhancement with CSS3, CSS animations… you name it, I know it.
For a full web project, from scratch to the final site, I work with developers I trust to make sure the end result is something to be proud of.

Responsive design
I have solid experience in creating responsive designs and designing mobile first. Visit this page on a mobile device or resize your browser and you'll see the layout adapt to the screen width.
Performance
I value performance and website speed above most things, including the actual design. Nobody likes waiting around for something to load. An app requires a certain snappiness to be usable.
I have solid experience building CSS frameworks for large-scale websites and web applications. See interface design and web design.
No reinventing the wheel
I cringe when I see developers reinventing the wheel every time they start a new project. I use known open-source code like normalize.css, modernizr and HTML5 boilerplate.
SASS, HAML or Less
If your project requires Sass, Less or Haml, I have no problem switching over. I mostly write vanilla CSS but in some situations, for example a Rails web application, Sass is a better choice.
